	What We Do The Functional Leadership Institute assists school districts realize "profit" by becoming more effective and efficient in key organizational operations. Profit, or success, is measured in terms of three imperatives namely, higher levels of learning, constituent satisfaction, and stewardship of resources. Successful districts create value for the constituents they serve and enjoy benefits that translate into higher levels of student performance and support for district operations and initiatives.
	The Functional Leadership Institute administers an inventory conveniently on-line, if desired, to all school district board members as well as randomly selected constituents including administrators, teachers and parents. The survey is designed to elicit responses to prompts surrounding the three imperatives. While school systems and schools, be they public or private, seek to exact measurable gains in various areas, attaining higher levels of student learning, customer satisfaction and resource utilization are universally sought all the time.
	Survey participants are asked to provide perceptions of the school districts level of performance and value for prompts measuring the three imperatives broken into six key functions that comprise organizational leadership. Organizations that regularly attain high performance levels do so by introducing promising strategies into accepting cultures. In sum, they are able to inculcate "right systems, right - right now." In order to do this, however, a supportive culture must be in place to ensure a commitment to strategic success. The Functional Leadership inventory measures the extent to which school districts exhibit the type of culture that will successfully support promising strategies. Survey results, including the data with a comprehensive analysis and graphic displays, enable the district to reflect on and consider perceived levels of organizational focus and functions, internal and external customer satisfaction and stewardship of resources.
	The Functional Leadership Institute presents a report including the data, analysis and recommendations for review as well as targeted action steps for implementation with dispatch. Additionally, the Institute offers/delivers a symposium for survey participants as well as customized courses designed to provide a firm grounding for districts to achieve and sustain desired results.
